G 30 ammo

Just got a new gen 4 Glock 30

My last .45 (Springfield XDs) was a little particular about ammo. It didn't like anything made by Winchester, or Federal Hydrashocks.

Question is: are there any brands to stay away from with a G 30? Mainly talking about FMJ target loads. I'll thoroughly test my carry ammo in it.
 
I've run Fiocchi, CCI Blazer Brass, WWB, and Seller and Bellot thru my 30SF with no issues. For SD I use 230 grain HST's. It's a Glock it eats ammo, as long as its FMJ you should have no issues, although I would stay away from reloads until it's broken in.
 
The only thing mine doesn't like are swc's and round nose that don't have a crimp groove. Causes extraction issues much like on XD's. But unless you roll your own it's a moot point.

Only time mine had problems was one-handing it at a night match, holding a flashlight in one hand and a gun in the other, running my weaker reloads. Got some "limp-wristing" jams.

Otherwise it runs on anything and everything.
 
I have a G30SF and it runs everything well. That gun feels good in the hand, points well, and is accurate. I like it more than my G21 and it tends to shoot better, albeit smaller.
 
No failures with my G 30sf with any of the ammo I have tried. I have about 1200 rounds through it. I have used most of the major brands.
 
My 30SF liked everything I fed it but then I handloaded the vast majority of what I shot.

What to shy away from? Low powered ammunition with light bullets. Glocks need ammunition to reach a certain power threshold and some of today's fodder sold at the favorite X-Mart sores doesn't seem to get up to snuff from what I've observed.

As is the usual case, YMMV.
 
At least 2000 trouble free rounds through my 30s. For range use, I've run PMC, WWB, Freedommunitions reloads, American Eagle, Magtech and Armscor through it. I've gotten good deals from Freedommunitions with no issues.

I put 5 different kinds of ammo through it with no issues. It was just stuff I had on hand (Double Tap, HydraShock, Golden Sabre, UMC, and some Winchester JHP) and all cycled fine.
Good to know I can buy most any range ammo with this gun and be fine.
