NOT THAT THIS IS GOING TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE IN YOUR LIFE …
But Cobb County, Georgia is thinking about enacting a law limiting the number of pets a resident can own. Isn’t it nice to know that everything is running so well in Cobb County that they can concentrate their efforts on just how many pets a person can have in their home. Here are a few interesting little factoids you might find in the proposed Cobb County ordinance ... we got this from a Cobb County veterinarian.

"...anyone reported to have too many cats and dogs (even if they actually have none) can be served with a search warrant at any time, night or day...."

When a county official was asked what would happen to people who make false claims against a neighbor the answer was ... nothing. Tipsters will not be required to give their names.

If you are a breeder -- one the county deems to be "legitimate," -- and you don't have your litter placed in new homes by the time the puppies, kittens or whatever reach six months of age, they will be seized by Cobb County Animal Control if the size of your litter puts you over five pets.

If you find a spray cat with kittens and try to care for them you will be in violation of the law if the mother cat and her kittens brings you to over five animals in your home.

So, Cobb County, Georgia wants to put a limit on the number of pets a residents can own. Isn’t that special. Now … can the residents of Cobb County put a limit on the amount of taxes that the government can levy against them?

That's just pathetic.

I don't care how many pets someone owns, as long as the pets are decently cared for and they're not imposing on me.
