I don't normally do this, but their complete lack of response has left me pissed. This is the letter that I sent to Galati International on January 8th, 2008. To date, I have not gotten a response. Nothing. No "Sorry". No "Sucks to be you". No "Thank you for your feedback". Nothing.

I'm picking up my IShot bag tomorrow night. I feel that they have had almost two months to respond, and they obviously don't care to.

I'd post the pictures that I sent them, but don't have a flicker (or other) account setup. If anyone would like to do so, I'd be might obliged.

Good morning.

My name is Ex-MA Hole (I used my real name in the real letter) and I have one of your range bags. I received it as a gift from my Wife approximately three years ago. I understand that you have a two year warranty, and I have no recourse.

The purpose of this letter is to show you the current condition of my range bag, in the hopes that you can change what appears to be a fairly significant design flaw for future customers.

This bag was used 2-3 times per month to shoot local IDPA matches with (I'm a Range Officer and Assistant Match Director at Pioneer Sportsmen in Dunbarton, NH). The bag holds my hearing and eye protection, holsters, magazine holders, a staple gun, and sometimes a handgun or two. Also, occasionally it holds 1-2 boxes of ammo, but not frequently.

Ammo is usually kept separate in an old ammo can. The weight in this bag is therefore minimal. For matches, I have an i-shot pistol rug that is used to transport the ammo from stage to stage. The Galati Range bag usually stays in my car.

As you can see from the attached pictures, one of the shoulder strap hooking points has completely separated, all the way down to the bottom of the bag. The other strap also has started to do the same.

I have been nursing the bag along (I'm using paper plates to cover the hole), however recently discovered that one of the two walkie-talkies that I purchased for match use had fallen out.

I have no choice but to purchase another range bag, as I can not continue to loose my shooting supplies, especially when they are not mine. I have a friend at the club that is an i-shot representative, and he is going to be meeting with me in order to go over i-shots offerings. I can not afford, nor do I feel I should have to, replace a range bag every two and half to three years.

I am rather disappointed in the quality of this product.

Best regards,

I don't mean to sound callous, but it's tough for me to get excited about this. You used a product regularly for significantly longer than its warranty period and it wore out. Would it have been better if it lasted 10 years? Sure. But I don't expect a great deal of durability from soft range bags. I'm surprised they even warrant them for 2 years.

Get a hard case, I haven't looked back.

Honestly, you didn't ask for a response. You said you were mad and hoped they changed the design for the future. I don't think a response is neccessary.

I would look elsewhere for a new bag, though, if dissapointed with what they have.
