Garand Parts Kits

I'm looking for a parts kit to complete a Garand receiver I bought a while back. Does anyone have an opinion about the kits from either the "Garand Guy" or SARCO? Are there any other sources I ought to look at. Or should I just buy the parts piece by piece from the different sources?

I have purchased from SARCO a few times...both the "A" & "B" kits...

the "B" kits are better finished (or re-finished I should say)

but you can't get them to match up manufactures parts...you gets whet they give....

but.... for under $280.00 you can't beat it...

there is one guy (Placer CBS in CA) that will sell a complete NEW kit with SA parts for $ 860.00..... but thats a little high for my taste...

You might also look into buying a CMP rack grade Greek for $295.00. You stand a decent chance of getting a good shooter. And at worst, if you need to rebarrel, it'll cost about the same as a parts kit plus a receiver.

You're right. I've already bought three rifles from the CMP, but it never occurred to me to just buy a rack grade and can it.
