I was bored online and decieded to look up the patents listed on my Glocks frame.
When I started looking at the patent drawing I saw that Gaston has a patent on a SA/DA Glock and was wondering if there was ever a prototype that I've never heard about.

Look on page 5 for a detailed illustration of the pistols SA/DA function and operation.
Also look at the early designs and you'll see the slide was originally rounded along with other small changes.
