gb mini 14 parts?

I just noticed my gas block is cracked its on the top piece where the 4 screws go, can i get just the top piece or will i have to get the whole gas block? and where can i get it? thanks! mike csa
 
It's tough with Rugers. The company rarely sells spare parts, not even to gunsmiths.

So basically everything has to go back to the factory for things like this.

You can probably find some used parts out there but usually it's better to just send it in.
 
You can buy a gas block from Accuracy Systems. They sell tuneable gas blocks (I have one of those) and regular gas blocks. Look about 2/3 down the page.

i was hoping some one here might have got one of the afermarket ones and would sell me just the top part? i hate to send it back to ruger for that one little part, thanks csa
 
Try Midway. I was just at their site checking out the parts for my Mini 14. Seemed to have a large inventory.
 
+1 on the Accuracy Systems adjustable if your GB is a shooter and not a safe queen ( meaning some of the pristine GBs are worth big dough ) Its billet and adds some mass and rigidity to the barrel , and you pick up some accuracy when the action isn't ejecting your brass into the next county . I have a take off in blue i would sell you , but its for a 581 big barrel series and wont fit your GB . They have stock units at ASI for 79 bucks .
 
Also look here; " http://www.thearmsroom.com ". The Heavy Gas Block Top Strap. An alternative to having to replace the entire gas block, and can be changed out when a factory original shows up.

Actually, I'd like to add one to my mini. Looks neat and might even improve the rigidness of the gas block assm.

Try Numrich's....or call Ruger, they do sell parts.
 
mini-14 top gas block cover

i need the gas block covers , so i called ruger,and they wont sell, you will have to send the gun to them. unless you get lucky, my is the 183, ss. all the covers that you screw in will fit. good luck. p.s. if you find more then one,let me know. have a safe day.ohio
