Thank you! Every time I see a gel test it reinforces the idea that I never want to be shot! The .44 mag out of a 2.5 inch barrel was new, a lot more penetration than I would expect. I just wish I could find a gel test of the .44 mag Leverevolution from Hornady!

You sir have earned a new subscriber if it's your channel, if not you earned one for someone else.

It is my channel. I've got a few more .44 mag tests planned. After I get some of these out of the way, maybe I can try the Leverevolution.

That takes away from the 'underpowered 9mm' theorem. That's a good combo of penetration, expansion, and retained weight

Tnoutdoors9 got dramatically different results when he tested the Underwood 115 gr +P+. Any ideas on what caused the discrepancy?

Awesome tests! Very interesting to see the Speer short barrel .44 magnum out of an Alaskan. That's what's loaded in my Alaskan at the moment and it's good to see that performs so well!

I'd prefer more penetration for a woods load but in reality, it's probably perfectly adequate for defense against animals in TX and AZ.
