It seems like I've been waiting for forever for the Gen 4 Glock 20 to come out. Does anyone have an idea or Info of when they'll start being produced? I'm not sure if i should wait it out or just buy a 6" 10mm barrel and a few mags to use in my GEN 4 GLOCK 21 FDE. Are the g20's just not that popular for them to get working on it sooner? I thought they'd be out months ago considering they use the same frame as the 21.

Glock Reps at the 2011 SHOT Show said that Glock is releasing Gen4 models that are in demand by the Gov/Mil/LE market first.
So, the 10x25mm Gen4 Glocks is on the bottom of the priority list.
Probably see them after all the .357SIG (33Gen4), .45GAP (38Gen4 & 39Gen4) & .45ACP (30Gen4) models are released.
So, next 1-2 years?

They did testing in Q4 2009 and made their decision in 01-2010. Admin let the final decision on what to chose up to the officers. The majority chose the Glock 37Gen4 over the Glock 21SF and S&W M&P-45 due to accuracy, reliability & ergonomics.
.357SIG & .45GAP are used in more LE agencies than the 10x25mm.
Hence the reason, why those Gen4 models are being released before the 10x25mm.
From reading the glock forum, the G20 Gen4 will be out end of this year or beginning of 1st quarter next year.
I recently bought the gen3 because I know it is reliable and proven. Based on gen4, it seems like glock is trying to fix something that is not broken ie, trigger bar bump, and some glock recoil springs etc. The backstrap is nice though, but the gen3 sf fits my hands well.
If you would like the gen4 10mm, get the G21 gen4 and just buy a conversion barrel.
