I have bought second hand G20 with box, papers and three magazines. It is Blue Label gun that has steel guide rod which I assume is replacement. Should I purchase original plastic Glock part and replace the one currently in the gun? The weapon is in excellent condition. Thanks.

I have a gen3 G20. I changed the plastic guide rod to a stainless steel rod. The pistol shoots fine with both, but, I like metal rods. I would not start searching to deep trying to get the "original" rod when the replacement will not cause any problems.

I also replace the factory recoil spring assembly in my Gen3 G20SF with a Wolff 22lb steel rod assembly. The factory one worked fine, but the stiffer aftermarket assembly makes the gun nicer to shoot with higher power loads, but still seems to work just fine with lighter loads.
