Barrel length will determine the maximum velocity possible for a given round. Up to a point it allows the maximum + velocity change, but at longer lengths reduces it.

Your very first post is a little... odd.
Not to offend you, but posting a four word question (without the requisite question words common in English) is going to get either no response, or a dogpile of various jests and maybe even calls for banning a new troll.
Come back and try again - as hso posted, there is a lot more detail that one would need to understand your frame of reference and give an appropriate response.
