General Patton's Grave

mcshot, about 20 years ago I was in a conversation with a WWII veteran who served under Patton, and questioned him about Patton's death. He was adamant in his belief that it was an accident, as has been reported. He claimed that any suspicious circumstances would have been scrupulously investigated and anyone contributing to Patton's death would be dealt with; such was the loyalty of Patton's men.

I was not there; my story was hearsay. I'm offering it as what one man told me. I hope others will comment on this.

To clarify General Pattons Colt Pocket Automatics

The .32 Colt was personally owned and adorned with 3 stars on the grip changed to 4 stars upon promotion

The 380 ACP Colt was issued by the Army late in the war to all General officers. (Patton added stars) The 380 was issued first in quantity and when supplys ran out (1950) remaining .32 Colts until early 1970's when supply was exhausted.

As mentioned early Patton also had a Remington Model 51 plus a Colt Detective Special personally owned which he carried thru the war.

Anybody know where the above pistols are today?
