Most .45 ACP pistols are single-action, whilst many 9mm pistols are double-action only. Five pounds of trigger pull is generally more accurate than thirteen pounds of trigger pull. Single-action 9mm pistols can be as accurate as .45 ACPs. Don't buy double-action only pistols. If I had to be shot in the chest, I'd prefer it be from a 9mm than a .45 ACP pistol. Continued life expectancy from a .45 hit is not very great. 1911 Clones are nearly always single-action, ask before you buy. cliffy
