Sounds like one of the small .22 revolvers sold here prior to 1968 and often called "Saturday Night Specials". Most were made by Rohm (RG) and were of rather poor quality. Some of those were sold in Germany, but the US was the prime market so it is likely your father bought it at a PX/BX rather than on the German civilian market.

Come on guys, Google is you friend. It's a Nanno Hubenbecker revolver made in Molin, Germany. Appears it's no better than your run of the mill Rohm as far as quality. The one good thing that can be said of these guns is they did have to survive a proof round.

Arminius revolvers were pretty nice,actually.

I agree. Triggers sucked and sights didn't agree with where the bullet hit (to my experience) but they seem to be as well made as a Iver Johnson or H&R.

I must've got lucky.Mine had a decent trigger, and the sights were adjustable. kinda sorta a copy of a Highway Patrolman revolver, only 8 shot,.22 magnum.I finally got rid of it when I figured out that I could get .38's for less than I was spending on .22 mags, and I could reload them!
