If any of the proposed gun bills become law they will fail. This failure will be blamed not on the bad law(s) or the lack of enforcement, but on the perceived lack of severity, definition, inclusiveness, NRA, and the uncaring gunowners. This failure will spur more calls to action from our "representatives" who will then attempt to pass more laws.

I believe that we need to get in front of this looming failure with a well-crafted message that places the failure of these bad laws right where they belong: On those who subverted the Constitution and crafted/submitted the legislation. 2014 needs to be the year that the Anti-Constitutionalists lose their jobs and the message as to why they have been ousted needs to be loud, clear, and unequivocal.

Let's use this thread to come up with some good slogans, messages, images, and talking points to steer the inevitable debate as to why these laws failed.

Strict gun laws in Hitler`s Germany did not prevent the slaughter of millions of defenseless people ,did they?

The examples are right in front of us. Chicago, Baltimore, DC, etc. all have had strict anti-gun laws for a long while. These laws have demonstrably failed to stop violent crimes. So they're demanding we repeat the same failures on a wider scale. To make the rest of the country into Baltimore.

I think that bringing up the high gang violence is a good tack to take. I'm pretty sure that gang violence has remained the same despite the existence or absence of any gun laws.
