I don't own a .50BMG rifle, not do I have any plans to own one in the near future. This is mostly due to the cost. It is a long-term goal of mine though.

In the meantime, I thought it would be neat to have a .50BMG round just for something to put on my desk at work as a conversation piece. I currently have a 7.62x54R round sitting on my desk, one I plucked at random from my giant box of Mosin ammo. The Mosin round draws some attention, but not as much as I imagine a BMG round will.

Being in the market for just one, and given the high cost of the rounds, I am less than enthusiastic about buying a box of them.

Are there any THR members who would be willing to sell me just one round, or who know of an online store who will?

I have a 20MM round, name your price :neener:

It wouldn't be that bad to buy 20 brass and 20 bullets and distribute them as dummy rounds, any takers? I'd like the same thing but can afford neither the real ammunition nor the rifle to shoot it out of.

I'd be willing to set you up, its just that shipping is kind of expensive being that its got to go UPS or FedEx and ORM-D. Otherwise, you can usually find them at gun shows.

 Name your price!

Hmm, I forgot the whole common carrier and ORM-D thing. Anyone know what kind of fees we are likely talking about? I think shipping on my last box of mosin ammo was only $12 though, and that weighed in at about 15 lbs. If we are talking under $10, I would do it.

Thanks for the replies folks. I will go with one of the online sites posted. I had given up on finding a place that selss them per each, and hadn't thought about looking for dummy rounds either.

The more I think about it, the more I know that a dummy round would be a smarter move for the desk.

Love this site!

Many Army-Navy stores carry inert .50 BMG rounds for ~$2.00 a piece. Most gunshows usually have quite a few floating around and live ammo (can be) similarly priced.
