I cable mine to the tree.

And seeing's how I've confiscated a couple over the years from tresspassers on my land- if someone wants one of mine more than me, I'm not gonna lose sleep over it.

But if one was really into it, they could go this route.

I've actually got a stand that's been on the same tree for 3 or 4 years now- 24/7. I know both deer and coon hunters have seen it, I figure no one really wants to tote cable cutters in the woods to get it.

....If the DNR cannot get it back, ill just tail him to walmart or the gas station or whererver he stops and ill re take it from his truck. Ill get it back 1 way or another

Georgia law, where the OP lives, seems to require them to be placed on public land the day prior to the hunt, and removed by noon the next day following the hunt.
