Did a quick search and had no "hits", so thought I'd ask - anyone here heard of or used Ginex brand primers?

American Reloading has them in stock.

Apparently a Bosnian company, located in a town (Gorazde) with a fairly "interesting" recent history, as it was one of the besieged Bosnian areas during the (most recent) late unpleasantness in the Balkans.

Their marketing language cannot be accused of being dull or immodest - "mil spec primers of far superior quality to brands like CCI and Sellier & Bellot". OK. Good enough for my low-end reloading needs ......

Company website is http://www.ginex.com.ba/public_html/Index.htm

Prices seem normal.

Of course the more component vendors/sources the better (bring on the Sri Lankan shotshell wads and the Kyrgyz powder-coated cast bullets, I say!). But this is a new one to me. Just curious if anyone in this community had run across these yet.

my first thought is that the primers will be a bit hard. ive notice that with allot of European ammo so i would expect primers to be similar

If you have shot Prvi Partizan ammo then you have used ginex primers.

I would buy without a second thought.

lykoris, good info, and makes sense. Without further research I'm gonna guess that in the old Yugoslavia Ginex was the normal supplier for PPU, and that "circumstances" separated them, but now that relationship has resumed. PPU is excellent stuff.

I had no doubts about the quality of Ginex, just curious if anyone else had heard of them. Don't expect to buy them unless they undercut the very good prices now sometimes available on other brands, but if the price is right then sure they are candidates.

That's my feeling.

Ginex primers are at Ventura Munition, and are the cheapest I found......

Sent them a price quote request for bulk purchase; response below.

Thank you for your interest. Right now, there are no price breaks on primers; for 10,000 it would be $227.50 plus shipping.
I can give you a quote for shipping if you like and give you a grand total. I just need the shipping state and zip code.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Best Regards,

$22.75 per 1K plus hazmat and shipping, unless hazmat was included in the $227.50.
