Well despite the rain, my husband, kids and I made it to the trap range to meet up with Dave McCracken. I didn't do so well today but I'll just try, try again! Here is a picture of me shooting with Dave McCracken off to the side and one with me, Dave McCracken and ANApex.

P.S. Dave was having some computer issues so he asked to pass along that he may not be on right away but hopes to be back by tomorrow.

:D

Great Pics !

You folks had a great time - it shows!

Oh Daaaave...about that there shirt. * ahem* You done good !!

Now I could see me in a LL Bean Classic Oxford Cloth shirt with that BA/UU/R on the pocket. *grin*

See LLBean Fall catalog , pg 46 I only buy Long sleeve - 16 1/2 neck and 34 sleeve. My standard wardrobe is French Blue , Green ....don't know how the BA/UU/R would do on the striped and plaid shirts I wear *grin*

Maybe Corriea can add it to the Molon Labe shirt line. Otherwise I sense a group buy on the way.......

BTW, Who is that thin older gentleman modeling the shirt?

BTW that's the new to me Winchester 59 that I'm holding in the second picture. I think Dave's words on it were something about a gift from God  . And yeah it shoots better then Girls' Beretta :D .

About the guns-

From Girls new gun then Dave's then the Mod 59 ...one sure cannot tell a difference in gun age by the smiles - or the pile of broken clays.

I'm really happy you folks shared, Great Pics of responsible firearm ownership.
You represent all us very well - thank you.

b/t talking with Dave, reading his posts , hearing about you folks getting to shoot with him and more pics...with GWAG and Anapex and others...one of these days ....I'm going to have to drive up and visit. One of these day- when I get some stuff finished up and in a position - I have to plan a major road trip, I mean a major one- too many good folks on this board.

I'm back, Praised Be....

The shirt was made by Wonderful Wife. The lettering's an iron on. WW made it up, trying to match the font I see here, and ironed it on one of my duty Ts.

I'm one of the few folks in MD with over ten black T shirts and no motorcycle.

Dunno if the iron on ever will be commercially available. One already made will be going to a good friend here. I hope he owns an iron.

Back to the shooting. I tried a few shots with Anapex's "New" Model 59. Chipped the first target, smoked the other three. Handles like a walking stick. Never shot one before, though I've friends who love them. I'll post something in a new thread folks can refer to. In brief, the 59 is a lightweight and overlooked classic upland shotgun. Anapex is very fortunate.

GWG, do pattern that Beretta, I've a hunch it's shooting too high for you.

And let's do this again. The universal thing I've noted about the folks I've met in person as well as here on THR is we're good folks and good company...

I finally was able to get myself over to PGC this morning for a back-to-school day of trap.

The joint was jumping and we were having to alternate rounds so that everyone could have a fair chance to shoot.

I shot 3 rounds of regular trap followed by a round of wobble. Not my best shooting, but then again I haven't been over there enough lately to justify expecting much score wise. On my second round I was probably in the neighborhood of 20 but the others were pretty grim.....

But......it was a beautiful morning and I had fun.

Girlwithagun.......you guys were having entirely too much fun.:D

BTW......where is this trap range located????

Dave,

Were I to make my own BA/UU/R shirt would I be offending you in anyway? I don't want to step on anybody's toes but that saying is just too classic.

Let me know.

Chris

Dear cslinger,

The short answer is no you may not use BA/UU/R (trademark pending). It is mine.

Unbeknowest to Dave, I have applied for a registered trademark for this phrase. Hey if Amazon can patent one click checkout, I can and have claimed BA/UU/R (trademark pending) as mine.

The royalty for using BA/UU/R (trademark pending) in any form is one box of unshot Winchester AA AAL127 (1 1/8 7.5 shot 1250 fps) per person for unrestricted use of this trademarked phrase annually. Unauthorized use will cause my retained firm of Dewey, Cheatem and Howe to chase you to the ends of the earth and Vandalia.

Thank you,

00-Guy
trademark owner of BA/UU/R (trademark pending)

(Please before flaming recognize the very big smile that I have. And I would not take something from Dave for which he is known while he knows about where I live and or shoot. paul....)

Norton, definitely time to get back into it. I'll probably be at PGC tomorrow morn, if you can make it.

DorGunR, on Good Luck Road near Greenbelt.

C-, and others, I have NO problem with anyone making their own BA/UU/R shirts or other apparel.

Permission to use the expression is freely given without expection of fees or compensation of any form. IOW, get the word out however you want to. Preach unto the multitudes....

Sorry to say, Paul, but I've know your attorneys for years. Qualified them for their permits.

Don't let them do your taxes....

Back on topic, GWG and Anapex, wanna do it again this weekend? Or any of the gang in the area?

Dave,

I'm out of the weekday circuit as of Monday, 8/23.....school started for us unfortunate souls:(

If the in laws aren't in town this weekend, I may be able to make it out....I'll keep you posted.

Dave, I'm in the custom t-shirt biz (see my signature line and check out my website).

Making BAUUR shirts either embroidered or screen printed would be quite easy. Cost per screen print would be around $20 including shipping, embroidery costs a bit more.

If the interest is there, I could do it quite easily (by next week at the latest to set the design and begin production.)

If Dave says okay and you all want in, let me know, I could do other colors as well easily.

All of my own shirts are trademark pending and confusing as hell to anyone who doesn't know what they mean either, so I know how you feel. I can also do hats.

The easiest way to get them quickly would be a group buy (40+) since the guys who make them for me go nuts with 1 or 2 or 10 shirts ordered, they normally do a minimum of 48 for production in one week.

Otherwise, it can take a month to get one little shirt out (they're in the middle of a 10,000 shirt order to give you an idea of their project scale) and my little orders can get buried....

Dave if you're interested, PM me or email me. Maybe split the profit? (Your shirt idea anyways!)

Let me think about it, and talk to Corriea. He's in charge of official and unofficial THR doodads....

Dave came up with BA/UU/R .

Now personally , leaving all the Business Law out of it , This is Dave's Deal. Matter of Principle, Ethics, Courtesy, Respect and Integrity. IMO.

On this Forum , other forums and in conversation - I'm pretty safe in saying this "BA/UU/R " saves typing, distinguishes a certain sect in society. That is most likely why Dave did it.

I'm not going to be a very happy person if folks jump on this Idea that Dave came up with for personal gain.

Not only has Dave given of himself on This Forum , but on others as well. READ - he spends money out his own pocket to Moderate. Oleg, Admins, Mods and Staff fo more than move and close threads,, fuss at folks, and type their views on various subjects - Where do you think the money comes from to run this ( and other ) BB? NO THR and TFL WILL accept donations - there is a reason.

Dave lives the example " To keep it - give it away" . It is up to Dave as to how he wants to handle HIS BA/UU/R. Dave is respectful of folks, and thus the reason he will most likely get input and advise from THR staff and Correia.

Correia - if you have not noticed- does NOT do logo stuff without first consulting THR as a whole.

WE have other folks that do RKBA and Firearm related - logo stuff. Those things belong to those folks as well.

Mad Ogre - would not take kindly to stealing his idea - I bet.

Not my place to take up for Dave. He may not appreciate me doing so. I do have a right to express my thoughts and I excercised that right is all.

gwag,

Good form with the scattergun, thanks for the pics of the grins. Looks like y'all had a great time!

Iffin I ever can find a good recipe for them clay birds, I'm gonna have to try and get Dave to teach me how to shoot'em too.

lpl/nc

We'll see how it goes. I'm posting on the Staff Forum about the shirts. If the consensus is in favor of doing the shirts, we'll go ahead with them.

Lee, I'm an old advocate of "Eat what you shoot" myself. But, there's easier ways to get minerals than consuming clay frisbees. Come on down, we'll boil up some possum instead....
