Glad I Was Carrying Today (but not what you'd think)

One day last deer season, my wife and I were with our youngest grandson when I managed to lock our grandson's keys AND his rifle in his truck. Using our "Leatherman" multi-tools, we tried for probably a half hour to get into it. We finally gave up and used my truck to drive back to town (about 45 minutes each way) to fetch a spare set of keys.
However, we didn't feel good about leaving our grandson's truck sitting there beside a backroad with a nice rifle laying across the back seat, so my wife just sat there in the bed while our grandson and I went back to town. Three young elk (which lucky for them, my wife didn't have a tag for anyway) walked by the truck while we were gone. :p

I have purchased plastic chainsaw wedges in the past to help release locked doors for others, but never had to use them. Current vehicle has keypad, fob, key slot, and will have entry by cellphone if I can ever get Apple to send my Apple ID password reset to a functional email address. Congrats on ingenuity to use barrel as a cannula!

I used to leave the vent window open just enough the latch was not locked but still looked close a good bump would open the window. Tho I don't think my fat arm would fit, but the old Ford door handles you could use a stick and some string to rope the door handles inside if needed. Truck always had a few coat hangers in the bed to use as a slimjim if needed.

I have alot of respect for this, my wife and I have had many vehicles over the years and not a one of em didn't eventually have to be broken into by me (wife especially likes to lock her keys in, I guess she just likes to keep me on my toes, that and our pitbull liked to hit the lock button with his big dumb paw, I once manged to get him excited enough to hit the unlock, now thats skill (LUCK)),

with a myriad of other conundrums and time sensitive missions, I always managed to get in. Never once called a locksmith.....:D

So far I've managed without help the half dozen or so times I've needed to break in. I've got an actual tool set like the tow trucks and Police use...at work, in my toolbox. Oddly, I've only used it twice in like 5 years...but never on my own stuff lol.
