If I were they, I'd be insulted. Especially at the plushie pistol.

    Mmmmm Panda Express....:scrutiny:

Something is very odd about that picture. Check oput the girl in the second row - center. She looks like the girl in front of her just passed some wicked flatulence.

plushie = slang for a stuffed animal or whatever.

They're referring to the pistol in the holster of the woman in the far left of the picture. At first glance, it looks like a red velour pillow shaped like a pistol, i.e., a toy. I'm not so sure, though. It very well could be a real pistol in a red cloth bag of some sort. The lines to me say more "steel in a cloth bag" than "small pillow."

Stuffed toy? That's a pistol in a ceremonial red (lucky/commie) cover. Isn't it?

I keep looking at the rifles, I don't know how you guys can distinguish the CQs from the airsofts?

Training, even parade marching, with airsofts would be very un-PLA.

Look at the screw holes in the magazine, the receiver, and other areas..they are plastic guns no doubt...don't know about airsoft, but they are plastic.

No marks on those AR clones at all. From that distance I can't identify them for sure. (And trust me, I know airsoft like some of you guys know obscure Smith revolvers and 1911's.)

If they are airsoft and not dummy guns they're probably BE or one of its derivative Chinese factories. Even the BE guns have fake magazine well stampings, markings for safe, semi, and auto, and so forth. Also notice the screw holes throughout the guns, even on the magazines - They're probably dummies. Except for LPEG models nobody even in China makes an airsoft rifle that's held together with screws-through-holes, and nobody's ever made one with a screw-together magazine. I think they're just moulded dummies with two halves that screw together.

Look at the screws behind the forward assist and at the bottom of the pistol grip. :)

Call it almost a compliment, that the PLA needs to train thier troops with OUR rifles, not theirs.

You know, what came to my mind is that this is a platoon of Chinese Female Strippers training for the amusement of the Senior Officers.

You know, kind of the Chinese equivalent of the fake Cop that shows up at womens' birthday parties and then proceeds to dance and disrobe. Or maybe not....

I wonder why they photoshopped the background? Those clouds are straight of the filters pallet.

    Overall...it's a weird pic.

Actually some of the replicas are very realistic. I have a AR airsoft replica by a company called G&P. They are based out of Hong Kong and I paid about 300dollars for it. Has a Diecast aluminum body (it's pretty tough, i've dropped it on concrete and no scratches) as well as real markings and similar weight to the real thing. Even breaks down the same. Heres a picture of it.

    P1010081.jpg

The company even makes replicas of aimpoint reddot scopes. The gun it's self has marine environment written on one side of the receiver, on the other side it says Knight Armament Co. (KAC) which apparently is a real company that makes aftermarket receivers. I thought that was quite interesting.

    I agree.
Does anyone else think the 'pistol in a velour bag' (and its holster) looks like it's photoshopped in too?

Or perhaps they have segregated units in China. Maybe just for basic training? Maybe it's a graduation for military nurses.

With its shortage of females, China should probably keep women out of the military altogether.

A screw hole in the middle of the magazine, right under the mag well.
The clouds are, to those who have played with such, a Photoshop-type digital creation.

Someone was tasked with making a really impressive looking picture. Works great for those who don't know, obviously a "photoshopping" to those who do.
