I tried to mill out the old Tapco AR15 riser to match the Hex shape of the M39 receiver, but it was not perfect.
So I made it fit with epoxy.
I also do this with dual scope mounts on a Mauser to get the mounts pointed in the same direction as well as fill up the gaps in the misfit between a Weaver #45 and various Mauser receiver rear rings.
And, as you can see, I TIG welded the bolt and cut a slot in the stock for the new bolt handle.
