This is interesting! When you click on the website link below, a world Map comes up showing what strange & dangerous things are happening right now in every country in the entire world & is updated every few minutes. You can move the map around, zero in on any one area & actually up-load the story of what is going on. It is amazing when you can see the things that are happening right here in the U.S., sometimes right in your own state or even your city. Global Incident Map: There is a lot happening in our world every minute. This "map" updates every 310 seconds...constantly 24/7.

In addition, when zooming in, you get a very detailed map or satellite picture..........................

I understand that Africa might be a new area of intense activity.

Hmm, something tells me there will be conflict in the middle east.

Wait... there might be sand nearby too.

I just found this message on the site:
GlobalIncidentMap.com Announcement - We are discontinuing the RSS feature of the website at least temporarily, and it is likely to become permanent. Also, we will be changing to a paid membership model likely by the end of April. The map will still be available for the next week or two while we make the necessary changes, and our secondary maps such as the Amber Alerts Map, Illegal Alien Activity Map, and other maps will still be available and will remain free of charge. A more formal announcement will preceed the change. Feedback welcome - [email protected]

I know a few intel officers that are fans of the site, but honestly, between bbc, counterterrorism blog, and drudge you'll get all the major incidents, and often more comprehensive and timely.

Its a very interesting site but I hardly think anything will happen in South Dakota that will make it onto this site.

Anyone passing through a world hotspot on the way to work or an evening out for dinner will likely be aware of that fact before the trip begins. Interesting site, but too broad an issue for S&T.
