glock 19c at the range

well,finally got to shoot my new glock 19c gen 3 yesterday at my yearly license qualifications for security g license.wanted something smaller than my gen2 17.gun shot good,didn't notice any comp flash.gun has night sites,but under artificial lights indoor,hard to see then with the glasses.gun has finger grooves on the grip,which feels funny due to my slightly larger size hands. what really got me conserned is that the trigger guard caused excessive finger irritation to the bottom of my trigger finger,which caused me to have to use a band aid for the final 50 rounds of the 150 rd course.anybody else run into this problem?

anybody recommend any more highly visible daytime sights that may have tritium inserts for night use?
 
Shoot and handle your gun more, you'll develop a callous right there.

Several other sights to choose from, depends how much you want to spend. For very little, you could paint the existing sight blaze orange all around the tritium.
 
New guns and new shoes; gotta use both for a while before they feel natural.

The problem I had with my model 23 was after 100 rounds or so it began to knocked off a little chunk of skin right on the joint where my thumb meets my hand. I bought several gloves that fit well and made everything else very comfortable, but the abrasion continued. Then I installed a CTC grip mounted laser. Poof, problem gone. Solutions present themselves in the oddest ways sometimes.

Not that a CTC laser will fix your problem, but a good glove might. The one I use most often is a leather sailing glove. But I've used good quality golf and baseball gloves and they work well too.

Unfortunately, I highly doubt if that will ever go away. Sometimes guns just never fit a particular person's hand right and the gun will always cause issues. I have a smiliar problem with the Glock 19 I have to qual on.
 
One option is to have the trigger guard undercut to give you a little more room. Bowie Tactical does an excellent job with this and can also remove the finger grooves if you like. All things honest it isn't that hard to do yourself, though I can say Bowie's will come back perfect.
