I'm thinking of a Glock 21 for my next .45 and have large hands with long fingers. Long triggers on 1911's are still not long enough so with all the good press surround Glock's I thought a 21 might suit.

Then came the 21 Gen4 with its reduced grip circumference. Online reports seem to suggest that the Gen4 with the large backstrap fitted is about the same size as the 21 Gen3. Can anyone confirm this please?

Also I'd love to see a pic of a Gen4 with the large backstrap fitted. Preferably a 21 but any other will do.

Thanks :)

A backstrap-less Gen 4 is 2mm shorter front to back than a Gen 3 (basically a Gen 3 SF or short frame); the medium backstrap adds those 2mm back for a standard Gen 3 size, and the large backstrap adds another 2mm for those with larger hands or who prefer larger (longer) frames.

Make sense?

So the grip on a 21 Gen4 with the large backstrap is 2mm longer than a Gen3? If so I'll be very happy :)

Lots of people says the 21 Gen3 is a stretch and I just want to make sure that the Gen4 has the capability to be at least as big.

Would be great to see any pics with the large backstrap fitted.

Maybe your should change you name to Maximus Handus? :D

You have some large mitts my friend. A standard G20 or G21 feels like trying to grip a 2x4 in my hands.
