glock 23 gen4

What go you think about the glock 23 gen4 as far as an EDC and generally an all around use weapon?

A good many of my coworkers carry them for back up and off duty wear and really seem to like them. I only have direct experience with the G22 Gen4 but if/ when I get another .40 Glock for back up it will most likely be a G23.

I have a Gen 3 but I love mine. Very reliable and I have both 9mm and 357 sig barrels I switch out to shoot different rounds.

Good all round gun. Duty, ccw, home defense, shoot multiple calibers, it does it all. I have had my gen3 for like 8 years now and it's never failed. The two handguns I always recommend for being the most versatile are the g23 and sig p229. I do like the feel of the gen4 better, just not enough to lose money on a trade for my gen3.

my gen3 hangs out with me all the time with no complaints so i dont see where a gen4 would be anymore bothersome

Well, this time of year I think quite highly of my G23 Gen 4 for those applications. As it warms up and you're wearing lighter clothing then a G27 makes a lot of sense. Still, the G23 is a great compromise in size and capacity.
