Hey guys. I've been planning on getting a new handgun while I'm home and have settled on either a Glock 22 or 23 Gen4 or a Sig Pro 2022 in .40. My budget is about $400 (the Glock would be $405 out the door with the First Responder Program). It would be mostly a carry gun in the winter months and a range gun as well. I have a Glock 24 and love it but it's not too practical for anything but target shooting. Does anyone have a 2022 and are happy with their purchase? Thanks.

I have a 2022 and a glock 23. Very happy with the sig and I prefer it over the glock. Magazines are expensive and you only get one with the sig so keep that in mind. Also, holsters can be a little scarce but they are out there.
The 2022 has an excellent trigger IMO. Double action has a nice smooth sweep to it and SA is about as good as anyone could expect out of the box. I have absolutely no need to fiddle with it.
The more I shoot the sig the more I like it. The glock on the other hand has fallen out of favor.

That's good to hear actually. I really am happy with my Glock but I'd like to add some diversity to my collection. Do you think the quality is on par with the P226s and Sig's "flagship" line?

Quality of the SP2022 is spot on from my experience. Mines been flawless. The only problem I have with the gun is I wish they had more variations. Like a sub compact or full size.
