Glock 26 or Glock 27?

jakemccoy ^ I think that'll work. It's nice to know I would have that option with the G27. However, I'm a basic dude. Mostly likely, I'll get a G27 and practice with it without changing it. It'll probably be my main (and only) handgun. The G27 may not be the most fun gun to shoot initially, but I'll get used to it and learn to love it. At that point, I'll probably be relatively ignorant as to other calibers, yet be an expert in the one I shoot.

Then again, I might go totally berzerk and purchase 5 new handguns in less than a year...lol

Great choice and welcome to the exclusive Glock .40S&W club.:D

The caliber does offer an acquired taste. If you get the magazine extension, it'll be the same grip size as a G23. You've chosen wisely.

Please let us know how you like it!

The G27 is one of the best subcompacts you can buy. Many people shoot this baby Glock better than their full size G22. However, I shoot the 9mm version better (more accurately and faster follow-ups). Many others have the same experience.
I currently have a G27 issued to me by my department. I like it very much, and I think the .40 is a near perfect round. Its performance in actual shootings is very impressive. But if I could choose, I'd want the G26 instead since I shoot it better. As it stands now, I'm nonetheless satisfied. They are both such excellent pistols its really a matter of personal preference. One is easier to shoot well and lends itself to faster follow up shots. The other has more power, and is still low enough in recoil for most folks to shoot well.
Can't go wrong with either.
