I've narrowed my choices for a concealed carry gun down to 4 and would like some feedback on the pros and cons of any of them. I also have a few questions someone could probably answer. I started out wanting a glock 27 with ghost ring combat night sights but now am torn between the glock 27, glock 23, Springfield Arms sub-compact 40 or Springfield Arms service model. My first question is that with the slight difference in length on the compact vs the sub-compacts would it be better to trade off the longer grip for a more concealable gun or vice versa? Second, I like the 40 but the 9mm does have a little better recoil. Would the glock 23C or the Spg Armory ported be a better option if I go compact? How about adding night sights, especially on a ported gun? I can see where it might be helpful on a non ported gun but wouldn't the flash night blind you enough on a ported gun after the first round that it would negate having it?

i have the 27 for CCW and absolutely love it....never had problems (has about 2500 through it) dont believe what some people say about the recoil...it is a little snappy, but entirely mangeable.

I really like my G27, I don't really have a whole lot of experience with other pistols so take that for what it's worth.
