I was looking at a Glock 27 at the gun store today. Any owners willing to tell me how you like it?
Is it comfortable to shoot if I take it to the range for target practise?
Does it take any of the other Glock .40 magazines? I can find mags for the model 22 anywhere.
TIA

i like mine and have carried it for a long time now. when i wanna go with its smallest configuration i use the 9 round mag with pinky extension. if i have on something that makes concealment easier, i put in the 13 rounder. i also have a guide rod laser which is probably more "show" than go. Also have a .357 sig drop in barrel which is kinda fun. Oh, last, night sites. The G27 is pretty versatile AFAIK. It's ok at the range but i like the G34 better for extended range sessions. Cheers

I have both a 27 and a 22 and the 27 is almost as accurate as my 22. Just a little more felt recoil, but a magazine with the pinky extension does wonders. I carry it in an ankle holster everywhere.

I have two of them lol. They are great guns... even better after I install the Pearce Magazine Pinky Extension on them.

I orginally only had one... but decided to buy another just for the sole purpose of CCW.

Mag extension is a must because the little bugger packs a wallop of recoil.

My 15 round mags fit it as well.

I've got some slide on mag spacers that allow you to use the G23 mags and actually fill the gap between the mag base and the frame to stabilise the mag.

Lots of options...

I had a 26 that was a great shooter

I got rid of it specifically because of the mag extensions

With them, the grip was about the same as the G19.....

So I figured I might as well embrace the higher capacity/longer site radius, etc

I bought one about 3 or 4 years ago and have several thousand rounds thru it. I also got the .357 Sig drop in barrel.
This is my favorite all around pistol.:D
I just shot it last night and it's as accurate or better than all my pistols.

I am by no means recoil-sensitive, but I will admit that my hand and trigger finger would become kind of sore when shooting my G27 after around 100 rounds of WWB FMJ. It definitely wasn't as forgiving as my buddies G23 or my G19. As far as accuracy and reliability go, still top notch with the G27. I sold my G27 eventually. I don't see the point in carrying one over a G23. The difference in weight and grip/barrel length are negligible between the two, and the G23 is MUCH easier to shoot comfortably. If you want a sub compact I recommend the G26 9mm due to the relatively mild recoil. Just my 2 cents..

I have a 23 and a 27. The 27 is one of the best sub-compact ccw weapons around. With the Pearce finger extension it's just as controllable as the 23. And contrary to popular belief, it doesn't add much bulk to the grip. Try it. You'll see be surprised.

It'll take the mags from the bigger guns, but then you just defeated the purpose of the sub-compact.

If you're looking for an all around gun, maybe you should check out a 23.

I really liked mine, but I traded it off since I was having a hard time hitting anything with it. You will probably want extensions. I'm looking at a G19 right now, you may like that better.
