This is a poll to see which you would prefer to have and why.

Glock 29 (10mm) + 40sw conversion barrel
Glock 27 (40sw) + 9mm conversion barrel

I am torn on which to get as these 2 baby glocks seem to be very versatile with the conversion barrels. I am concerned about the recoil of the 10mm and also concerned about the knockdown power of the 9mm. Which would you choose and why?

I've got both. The 29 is thicker and weighs considerably more. I use a pearce +0 on the 29 and a pearce +1 on the 27 so both hold 10+1. Both are great but for carry only, I'd go with the 27. You can get 357sig barrels for both also.

I have the 27 with the .357 conversion. For my preference and ability, the .40 is all I want to handle in an emergency. The .357 is fun at the range. I may add a 9mm conversion so my wife will be comfortable shooting it.

The 29 with 10mm and .40 would not present enough of a difference between calibers to make it worthwhile in my opinion. YMMV.

go with the 29. It's easier to convert to a smaller caliber than a bigger one. :D

Not sure I'd call the 29 a baby Glock. The 27 is a baby Glock, but the 29 is as big as the plain ole compacts (19, 23, 32, 38). Hard to advise you aside from that minor distinction. Both would be great.

I love the 10mm round but I voted for the G27. It's smaller, easier to carry & shoot and since I reload I can use the same pistol primers for 40 & 9. Don't worry about stopping power just aim to hit the target.

I have a 27 with the 9mm Lone Wolf conversion barrel (and 9mm Glock mags).

I love the combo. I can set it up for newbies that want to learn how to shoot the small gun. They can practice on 9 mm and not get too worried about a flinch or recoil.

It lets me practice with which ever ammo I have on hand without changing the platform or buying two guns. (Not that I am adverse to having another gun or two around).

It is a great setup for me and the people I teach.

P.S. I think a 10mm would be a great round!! - Never know I may need one of those next!!

Glock 27
27 is more concealable
More ammo choices in 40
May decide you don't need the 9mm barrel, if the 40 doesn't produce too much recoil for your liking.

Glock 27,

Any advantage you get with the 10mm is only slight, IMHO. I think that the 9mm, .40, and 10mm are all decent man stoppers with the right ammo. Just remember that there is no "one shot stopper" short of a 20 or 30mm cannon.

On top of all that, 10mm ammo is harder to come by and it costs a heck of alot more when you do find it.
