i've been trying this for a while.. i kind of like it! I have a nice frontline iwb holster, but this is even more minimal, protects the trigger so i can carry one in the chamber, & is pretty versatile. I can tie the loop to a belt loop, or just tuck it down & pull it off. It's a fairly safe, versatile option.

The clip is a 'Clipdraw' (~$30), & the kydex trigger guard i got on ebay for ~ $12 shipped. I can tuck it in a variety of positions. I tried the push trigger insert, but was not confident it would not fall out when clipped in place.

Anyway, this is a pretty minimalistic approach, but keeps a degree of safety. The kydex trigger cover comes off easy enough, but it will hold the pistol up if it slipped down your pants or such..

..just a followup:

I've carried this in a few different positions, to see how it works. Its still a bit big, but in small of back, inside waist band seems to be the most comfortable. I was down in phx with short sleeves & shorts, & was able to carry it.

I think i still prefer the sccy 11+1 in 9mm. It is smaller still, & in a very thin IWB holster is more comfortable, but still gives the capacity, although not in the bigger 45acp.

10+1 of 45acp is plenty of firepower. But even with the 9mm, i don't feel vulnerable. It is adequate for most self defense situations. I like the 45acp cartridge, so this is a keeper. It is much more 'carryable' than a big 1911, or even the other full size tupperware guns. I like the accuracy, & of course the 11 round capacity. I added a g-21 magazine, which fits the 30s, for 13+1 round capacity. I will probably go back to carrying the sccy or the lcr in 9mm most of the time, but this one will be there from time to time.

I love my Glock 30s. I see your concept, I am not a fan of the clip draw for a couple different reasons, one which you kind of mitigate with the trigger guard kydex holster but it seems redundant and if I need to get to my pistol quickly in a defensive situation I really don't want to be further impeded or encumbered by my holster setup.

I carry IWB and I use a Raven Conceleament Vanguard two in the summer, its minimal and works very well for me. I carry appendix and also at the 4 o'clock position. Its $34. In the winter I switch to a Desantis Cozy Partner.

Yes, i did sweat on it a lot! And the lump of hot metal on my back was not particularly pleasant. But neither is a bulky holster, so i'm probably back to a smaller 9mm, instead of the 45. I didn't find it any less comfortable than a leather frontline iwb i have, & it does slip around a bit easier.

I did try the kydex trigger guard by itself, with the g-19 a while back. If you loop the tether around a belt loop, it detaches easily when you draw it. This is without a holster, too, with what has traditionally been called 'mexican carry' as popularized by mexican freedom fighters in past wars. But it moves around even more, without the clip, so i thought i'd give it a shot. the combo works, & is no more (or no less!) functional than a minimal holster.

Anyway, it is an option to consider. I've carried it a few times in the last week, & the clip is sturdy & holds well.
