I just bought a 30SF and love it. The only problem I have with it is the magazine release button sticks out really far and digs into my hand when the gun recoils. Does anyone else have this problem or is my gun out of spec? I have a glock 19 also and the magazine relase definitly does not stick out that far. Thanks.

Take: (1) a pair of bent needle-nose pliers, or (2) a long shank (3" +) 3/32" machinist's drift punch, or (3) a standard Glock armorer's tool - and remove the mag. catch from the frame. Now take: (1) a fine file, or (2) a flat rod-tye knife sharpener, or (3) a Dremel Tool with a fine stone head, and remove the FRONT corners from the mag. release.

(Be sure to make note of which end is top and bottom when you remove the mag catch spring from the gun. If you want to see pictures of how this is done go to http://www.parts.cc/glock/disassembly/Disassembly1.htm and they'll show you.)

 Is this an ambidextrous magazine release? Or are you left-handed? The conventional, left-side-mounted release should not be able to contact the hand of a right-handed person in a normal firing grip. Regardless, the suggestion to round off the corners seems to be a good one.
