I use a Kahr PM9 for a ccw pocket gun. I really like its size, but not the low capacity. My BHP is too big for CA ccw. I looked at the G26 (baby Glock) in 9mm, which is bigger than the PM9, but not too big. The G33 is the same size/weight but in a more powerfull cartridge. My last Glock was a G30. I really want a 30 round lightweight 600 Nitro pocket gun, but since I can't find one........

I've not seen a lot of commentary on the G33, even at Glocktalk. Anybody here have any reviews? +-'s?

I've shot the G26 several times, have found it to be very accurate and not at all unpleasant to shoot. I like it enough that I think it's going to be my next acquisition (and first Glock.) But personally I wouldn't want to try to control a lot more power in that size package.

Have you shot a G33 to see how you like the 357 SIG in that size, and how well you can shoot it? I believe the G33 grip would be considerably (1 full finger) shorter than the G30 you have experience with, but I'll bet the recoil will be just as great if not greater. If you're comfortable carrying a 9mm now, then consider that hitting what you aim at with a 9mm beats missing with a 357, so you need to give careful thought to how manageable a small powerhouse will be in your hands. The G26 magazine also holds 1 more round than a G33 (10 vs 9.)

I've heard that development of the Glock 600N has hit a snag - something about difficulty getting the extended magazines to function reliably.:)

I've fired the G26, but not the G33. My Kahr weighs about 19.75 oz and is snappy, but very controlable with +p 9mm's. My range doesn't have the 33 in their rental fleet. I also had an 18 oz titanium 357 snubbie that I got rid of due to ammo sensitivity. The G33 weighs about 27 oz loaded. I am not recoil sensitive. I've researched the 357 Sig cartridge and like what I see, but I'd like commentary on the G33.

Your reply was helpful and I hope to get more. Thanks.

I had a G33 at one time; didn't take me long to discover that baby Glocks (incl. the G30/29) are way too small for my hand. That aside, unless you already have some 357 SIG-chambered guns in your stable, you don't gain enough performance with the 357 SIG vs. the 9mm to justify the added cost of ammo, extra recoil and blast (esp. out of the short bbl). Personally, I dumped all of my Glocks in 357 SIG, and only retain my SIG 226 and 229 in that cartridge. My personal belief is that the non-G20, G21 and G30 Glocks are dishes best served in 9mm flavor.

Took your advice. I bought the G26 today. The Sig ammo is far too pricey for the additional performance. Of course, I still have the usual CA 10 day waiting period.
