Anyone have some recommendations for good sight for the glock 34. i am not to sure what some good after market sights are? probably adjustable. and is it possible to mount them myself?

I usually go with fixed Heinie sights for Glocks, either plain black Slant Pros for target shooting or Straight Eight night sights if you need night sights.
For adjustable sights I like Dawson Precision fiber optic sights.
I always install them myself, the front is installed with a small screw and a 3/16" nut driver, the rear gets pushed or tapped into place with a plastic drift punch.
For a 34 I would highly recommend fixed sights, once you get them dialed in, they stay put and are more robust and lower profile. Most 9mm loads will hit the same spot, so adjustables are just a liability.

I have fixed Trijicon night sights on my G34. So far, so good.

I have had Dawson Precision on Glocks and my new 1911. Awesome sights and a great company to do business with!

ok i will be sticking with the fixed sights unless someone can tell me a better reason why not to lol

Plastic sights wear down.
Glock adjustable sights tend to break.
If your sights go south your shooting becomes poke and hope.
Is that enough reason to get rid of the crappy factory plastic sights?

This is my G34 with MMC adjustable tritium sights.
Since this company went south, when the lamps die I will likely replace them with Trijicons unless another maker comes up with a decent set of adjustables such as these MMCs which are just plain excellent.

Dawson Precision, good sights, front fit perfectly on my G34, rear took a jewler's file to fit. Just took a little off the front dovetail on the sight, (do not file on your slide), DP even provided the driver and punch for the sights. Yes Glock "perfection" sights suck so most any change will be an improvement. http://dawsonprecision.com

can someone give me a specific sight thats really good for this gun both front and rear combos. there are so many to choose from and different heights i don't know what height to get?

They're charging >$500 for item that costs <$100 to make. The least they could do it put some quality sight that could be used under poor light conditions.

Sevigny's all the way. Designed by champion Dave Sevigny. Thin front blade and a solid black rear sight. The front comes in fiber optic, plain black or tritium. I have the fiber optic on my G17 I shoot for IDPA. I love these sights. You can get them in point of impact (like stock sights) or ones that shoot high (the set i have) for shooting plate racks. These enable you to see the point of impact without covering the target. Pretty awesome. MLE shooting sports carries them.

+1 for Sevigny Competition sights w/ fiber optic front sight. I run them on my competition G17. I love them. Absolutely LOVE THEM.

Sevigny Comp rear and Dawson thin FO front. Get as thin a front sight as possible. It's more accurate and faster to acquire.

I think my Glock is .110, my Kimber has a .090 that is perfect.

These Hienie ledge sights are nice. But I like the above Warren Sevigny/Dawson combo on my Glock better. Front night sights are too fat.

Thats exactly the sight picture I have on my G17. I love it. Great sights.

How accurate is the 34? Pictures of groups, general observations?

Trigger work?
