Hello,

I own both a Glock 17 and 34. Currently the 34 has a Carver mount with an UltraDot sight system. It is fairly large package but it shoots real good and am happy as a tick on a dog with this setup. My problem is that I carry the Glock 17 on my ATV and such and having 55 year old eyes I am having trouble seeing the sights. Is there any sight setup like a low mount reddot, holo or other combo that would be good on the Glock 17 and still make it a fairly "compact" setup? I saw an ad for ghost ring rear sights but have no experience with them. Are they any good?

Thanks,
Silvir

I would highly suggest xs 24/7 sights, the big dots are awesome and if that ain't enough you can match the front dot up with a ghost ring rear sight, i know several people with bad eyes that have this set up, people young and old, hope that helps.

There is the Doctor red dot sight that mounts directly on the slide. very compact.
This is the improved version of the J Point sight.

You could add a laser sight very easily without bulking up hardly at all.

Yep I completly forgot about lasers, you could try the lasermax that replaces the guide rod, my dad has one on his glock 19, they are awesome and work extremely well. that might be an option as well for you.

I personaly am still doing the " penguin " bop with my head finding the " sweetspot " on my glasses gotta love them lineless bifocals lol

I didn't realize there were so many of us doing that, that there was a name for it. The "penguin bop." Interesting.
