I just ordered a Glock 37, I originally ordered an XD 45 Tactical but after two months of waiting I decided to go with the Glock 37. Anyone have any experience with this gun.

The .45GAP is a smart weapon. To have a .45 in the size of a 9mm frame is amazing. Gaston is a genius.

A friend of mine has the 37, 38 and 39 and I'm very impressed with them.

Great choice!

Its a very good shooting and feeling weapon! I have one in layaway now!

The GAP round is a good solid round and will be here for awhile. A lot of large PDs are switching over to them, so close your ears to any naysayers.

Also ammo is the same price range as the ACP.

I like shooting the 45 GAP...but I also like 45 super, 38 super, 10 mm & 357 sig. Until the ammo becomes more readily available & drops in price a bit, I'd probably stay away.

I should have the gun next week sometime and as soon as I get a chance I will post some pics. Hopefully I will be able to go shoot it next weekend.

I also have a question. I was looking on ebay and I ran across several grip plugs. Is a grip plug necessary, it said it was to keep dirt and debris from getting in the trigger mechanism, sounds like a good idea. Anyway this being my first Glock as well as my first handgun I was just curious if the grip plug was necessary.

It's just an accessory and more like a decoration. I wouldn't waste my time on it. If you shoot on the dirt a lot, the Glock will not be affected.

Just a suggestion, if you're using your Glock for Home Defense...like everyone else, I'd invest in a Surefire weapon light...the X200B version has a wide beam that'll light a whole room.

I don't see the point of the 45GAP, unless you are an LEO required to shoot a 45 cal weapon, and have small hands. Why not go with a 40 in the same grip size, get more power (muzzle energy), more capacity, and more readily available ammo? Sorry, I just cant see any advantage to the caliber. If you want a 45 get the ACP, its available in enough platforms, you could surely find one that sparks an interest.

The main problem is that in 45 ACP, Glocks (except the 36) are sized like a brick. To me 45 GAP kind of solves a peculiarly and specifically Glock problem that other folks like Taurus and HK solved by using metal magazines -- small grip profile with 45 ACP length rounds.

there's no point, it's just something to have. you should state the same with 357sig as well. Don't rain on the man's parade.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, really appreciate it. CountGlockula thanks for the information I was wondering about a weapon light, just gotta talk my wife into letting me spend some more money.

Got my Glock 37 yesterday, I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. I plan to go do a little shooting tomarrow. I really like the feel of this gun. I will post again after I get a chance to shoot it.

I was going to post a picture of the new Glock but I am not sure how to do it. Can anyone tell me how to post a picture.

I went out to my uncle's and did a little shooting yesterday. I really like the gun. I need a little more practice but the gun preformed well.
