Want to hear from some of you who have a .45 GAP. Why did you buy it, is the size reduction worth it over a typical .45 acp. If you reload do you have a hard time finding brass?

I do not own one, but I did make the observation that during the recent run on ammo a few boxes of GAP were still glued to the shelves around my neck of the woods. The other niche caliber, .357 SIG, was nowhere to be found. Maybe GAP shooters are more prevalent back east?

I have a Glock 37, (45 Gap) I got it pretty cheap through Buds Gun Shop. I like the way it shoots.

I reload for it. I found I need to use 45 Gap dies specifically in order to get the cases to flare. I bought 1000 45 Gap cases for $40.00. A couple of large Law enforcement groups use this caliber. I will pm you with a possible source for brass.

I got the Glock 39.
Because I perfer .45 calibered bullet launchers and it is smaller than my Glock 30, which equated to easier conceal carry.

Ammo can be reasonable obtain by ordering online.

As long as law enforcement uses/supports a particular caliber, it will not die out.
Currently, five state law enforcement agencies have adopted the .45GAP and they switched over in the last 1-3 years.

Since a majority of the law enforcement agencies that use it are on the East Coast, ammo can be easier to find and less expensive then in areas where law enforcement has not adopted it.

Given the better value as it currently stands I would opt for a GAP if I did not have ACP and the launching platforms for ACP like it is cool. The power factors are great and the cartridge is easy enough to reload.
