I picked up a new carry gun today, the Glock 48. It's basically a Glock 19, but in single stack. It has 2 10rd mags. It has a very nice feel to it. The slim profile and light weight make it easy to carry.
I just got it, haven't been able to get out yet and shoot it.
Any owners here? How do you like it? Does it grip well? I know some thin guns move around in your hand sometimes. Anyone use grip tape on it?
    Thanks

The 43x never moved around in my hands. The smaller grip that is pretty much full length made for quick and easy draws. It was the gun that got me hooked on Glocks and I would carry it if I was stuck with a 10 round limit.

You may already know this, but you can buy aftermarket 15 round mags for it. I don’t have one yet.....would really prefer the 43x, but seems like the 48 is easier to find. Planning on buying a 43x/43 slide for shorter overall package.

I put bike inner tube on all my plastic framed guns instead of grip tape

I picked up a G48 last year and it's my choice for concealed carry. I have no problem with the grip when shooting. I prefer the longer grip because it fits my hands better and that is why I have a G45 instead of a G19 which is a fine pistol.

I carry a G48 with 15 round Shield Arms mags, the carry weapon I’ve been waiting for, for a long time; the balance of size, capacity and shoot ability is great. Sweet shooter!

Also best grip of EDC in my opinion for its size.

Considered the 48 but went with the shorter 43X instead. The Shield Arms 15 round mags and an aluminum mag release work great in my 43X. Enjoy your new firearm!

I bought a G48 early this year. Carried Glocks (17,22,23) as issued duty weapons for my 23 year career. The G48 is the Glock I had been wishing for that entire time. Finally a Glock that fits my hand well!

I've added a Talon grip to it and a Dawson fiber optic front sight/plain black rear. While it's not my primary CCW (that goes to my Shield 9mm) it's my nightstand/occasional CCW gun.

I bought a 48 a while back as the grip fits me perfectly. I shoot it so well when Shield Arms came out with the 15 round magazine I traded my Hellcat for a 43X, which I carry. I need to pocket carry (back issue) and the 48 is too big for that.

About 5000 rnds. so far through my EDC 43X. Best carry gun I've ever had. And ditto on the Shield Arms mags.
I have some strips of skateboard tape on my front and back straps. Keeps the pistol nice and tight without adding any width.

The G20 fits my hand really well... I think the 48 might feel like a pea shooter?! Though if i were to get a second glock, it would be the single stack variety. Gimme one in 10mm and id seriously consider it.

It’s the only Glock that’s interested me. The grip is great and I like the barrel length. I like it better than the 43x

It's on my short list of want-to-buy guns. A Keltec Sub 2000 and car repairs took away a lot of my gun money recently, and a pandemic plus an election took the guns off shelves. But some day, the two shall meet.

I think I’ll get the 48 next because the Blue Label price is too low to pass up. I’m allowed 2 a year and still have one left for this year.

I don't normally participate in the Glock-love threads (they get too mushy for me), but I almost bought the 48 ... but then discovered the 43X, which I feel is a neat little pistol. In fact, it's become my favorite Glock (the 19x a close second). What's 20 mm (.79 in.) extra length difference matter for a little gun like this, anyway? At any rate, the OP is correct about the profile and weight; I'd also note that (for a Glock) it's pretty doggone ergonomic due to the angle and shape of the grip. The factory night sights available on the 43x/48 are a distinct upgrade over standard Glock sights, too.

Own a 43 and then bought the 43X and put the 15 round magazines with replaced magazine release.

Its not as light or easy to conceal as the 43,like at weddings etc.

But it shoots well, and I plan on adding the grip adapter to make the grip ----- grippier !

I’ve had a G43 for several years. I bought the G48 as my retirement EDC. The reason for not buying a G43X was that I can put the slide of my G43 on the frame of my G48 and turn it into a G43X.
I did buy two of the Shield Arms 15 round mags and they work great.

I wanted to like the G48. I liked the way it felt in my hand . . . . until I shot it. Didn't like that at all, for some unknown reason. With that said, the fact that the Shield Arms mags appear to work well changes the equation for me. I keep thinking, "G19 profile, but thinner, with 15+1 on tap. That's a hard combination to beat. Maybe I could get used to it."
