Hello All,

I am currently serving in Iraq but will promptly be applying for my CCW in Washington state while on leave in April (coincedentally my 21st birthday as well) and would like to prepare accordingly.

I already own a Gen 2 G22 and am fine with the grip size of that firearm. I am 5'8, 200 lbs and have ok sized hands, so the G22 is fine for a race/fun gun, but not much on the CC side.

My interests, after handling and shooting a G27, are in the G27 size frame (have the capability to reload .40) but hate to just buy a G27 or G23 and call it good. While I don't want to spend an arm and a leg to "customize" a Glock, I would like a little bit of alterations to make it suit my uses.

Quick questions.

For those that have a G23 or G27 and have had grip reductions or modifications to it, did you find the mods worth the money?

Do you have any suggestions for shops that do these types of custom work specifically for CCW?

Whats the average price I'm looking at for at least a grip modification or reduction and night sights?

Should I purchase a new Glock for this purpose?

Any and all suggestions and advice (besides Glock hating, its my choice. I like Glock's for the job they are meant for).

Thank you.
