glock gen 3 problems

Has anyone on this forum experienced gen 3 glock 19 problems in ejecting? I have read some other stuff on other forums and am worried about my newly purchased gen 3 g19. 2/29/12 was the test shell's date. Am I just getting hyped up for nothing or is there a problem to look out for? Thanks in advance

You are probably getting worked up over nothing. As pistol platforms go the Glock in 9mm is about as reliable as they come.

That's what I was thinking but has anyone experienced any recent issues with the gen 3s? Particularly the 9mm versions.

Glocks typically go bang every time in the world that they were designed for.....

But I have heard that some get damaged when they are sent Fed-Ex air to Narnia due to the lack of proper airfields when they arrive.



In all seriousness, no, there are no major or common problems associated with newly produced Glocks (of any caliber)

There were issues with late gen 3 19's and early gen 4's as well. I had one and I had to send it back to glock 2 times before they fixed it. I was getting stovepipes and erratic ejection. They installed a new ejector no. 30274 and a new extractor. Seems fine now.

If I were buying a new glock I would check the number on the ejector and pass if it read 336.

I've got a Gen3 19 that's several years old (gun database not available right now) and through several thousand rounds it's been flawless. Of course I'm just one in a row so can't bank on my experience alone. My Gen4 19 has been flawless through roughly 2,500 rounds.

Go shoot your gun and enjoy it. My 66 years experience has been the monsters you build up in your head are often the worst and mostly never happen in reality.

I have a new gen 3 with the ejector 336. out of 150 rounds maybe 3 hit me in the head. I was thinking this was from a new gun so maybe a stiff recoil spring but your post has me worried again.

it does have the dip extractor btw.
