Need holster advice from those of you who carry full size or compact glocks in IWB holsters. What works best for you? What is comfortable to wear all day?

This is what I carry mine in. This is one of my biggest sellers and or good reason. Concealable, and most of all comfortable, even for long periods. I though it was impossible to have an all kydex holster that would be this comfortable, until I came up with this design, and it has worked out great, everyone that tries it out agrees.

Comp-tac Minotaur. I got one a few months ago from a member on this board and it has changed my life - perfect angle always, comfortable, secure and it has J-Hooks so a shirt can be tucked over it. My Desantis was traded away and my Don Hume IWB does well attached to the nightstand.

That Kydex custom job Possum is offering looks really good too. I might look at one of those if I couldn't find a used Minotaur

I would recommend against any and all soft-sided IWB holsters, they may be thinner but it is damn near impossible to practice safely with a loaded gun. Since you have to put a finger somewhere it shouldn't be when you reholster- or you have to take off the holster, insert gun, and insert everything in your pants - a real PITA.

Crossbreed supertuck

$50 Crossbreed knock-off works fine for me. I'll be ordering a raven concealment phantom holster with pancake adapters and IWB loops. I've heard nothing but good about them. I'll let you know how that goes...

I have been using a IWB Black Hawk for about a month and on one occasion wore it on a cross country trip, after 14hrs sitting in the car it felt great. They cost about $50 bucks and my mod. uses a very strong metal clip. Made in Italy of good quality leather, it stays open when the gun is drawn and covers the gun well when holstered.

I've had great results with CompTac CTAC holsters but my next will be the MTAC (which wasn't out yet when I got my CTACs), it looks even more comfortable.

Milt Sparks WS1 model is very comfortable, but the long wait may change your mind(20 Weeks) I recently purchased a package deal with a Kahr CW9 and an Adams leather holster, as comfortable if not more.

I don't think you are understanding it, the member on this forum, Possum is his screen name and he makes the holsters himself. Not a company.

And the company name is Possum??????????
Ludus Magnus, I don't currently have a website, though I do have a face book fan page. Under "Ludus Magnus". I was just making gear for myself, friends and folks in the industry, but it got too "big" to not be a "business" anymore.

This was very true until very very recently, it is a small business of mine now, and I am going at it with all that I have. There was more interest in it than I ever thought, and people want good gear, so I have been making it for them. Currently I am in the process of making gear for a Training company, Ludus Magnus will be their exclusive kydex gear maker. I am also working on 2 other companies as well. Just one will set me up pretty well, but I am going to try to get as many under the Ludus banner as possible.

Surfer,
In short, yes. However what I am striving to do with my company is give the end user exactly what they need. I don't make holsters that are the best IWB and OWB, I have 2 seperate designs, that are the best for what they are meant for. I purpose build my holsters for what the end user needs. Now yes I can make a holster that will and can go both ways. However everyone gets a better product the less "cookie cutter" they are and the more purpose built they are. As you can see from my pics (on other threads), my holsters are different depending on if they are IWB or OWB, and that is for a reason. Essentially I custom make them for the end user. I can do what you ask, and have, I just don't want to become a mass producer of holsters and gear that is ok at this and ok at that, but isn't great at anything.

I could do OWB loops, and IWB tuckable, pull the dot loops, etc, any and all of those if you wanted them. I have even done belt clips but that was a custom rig for someone and I don't like them so I don't offer them as I do not believe that they are the best way to go. They wanted them and I made it for him but that is about the extent of "clips".

I hope this answers your question. Thank you.

Very much, sir. I will pm you regarding your holsters. I have to spend some time in the gym now to work off my son's birthday cake...or I'll also need new belts instead of new holsters. :)

Possum, congrats on your new explosion of business! I like your work!

All it takes these days is a few good recommendations and a well timed forum discussion. :)

Happened to the guy I bought my last IWB crossbreed-like holster from over on glock talk.
