I have three Glocks.
1) Gen 3 G26
2) Gen 4 G19
3) Gen 4 G17

I would like to buy extra recoil springs for them. MidwayUSA does not indicate Gen 3 or Gen 4 Wolf springs. I thought Gen 4 springs were different. Yes or no? Do I just buy Wolf Springs for the model (ie: 26, 17, or 19) and not worry about which generation they are?

Also, should I go with factory power or extra power?

A local armorer tells me that you should replace the springs ever 2K rounds. Is this correct?

Finally, for a BHP......factory or extra power?

Gen4 spring assemblies are different than their predecessors. They will not function if swapped. The new factory Gen4 assemblies are supposed to have a longer life span than the previous version.

I've read that about 2000 - 2500 rounds is the time to change out .40 cal springs, but I thought 9mm springs would last another 1000+ on the gen 3 models. I haven't heard about the gen 4 versions.
