glock slide

Hi my name is ramesh am a new member,I hope I can find answers to my problem-----I have a 3rd generation Glock-17 I ve been using it for over two years, in I.P.S.C. production division(no major alteration to the gun pure stock) done about 1200 dry-fire per week,use winchester 115gr ammo.Now I wander WHY the part in the slide were the tip of the fireing pin comes out actualy cracked!!!!! I cant find a slide any were,I feel very dissapointed.I hope some one can help me in these matter.I have talk and shown the slide to many people they are all amazed!!! they cant belived but the proof is there in front of their eyes.I am the president of the practical shooting club in my coutry(Panama),last month we had the Columbus cup level III match,I had the privilage to shoot in the same squad as Dave Sevigny and Julie Goloski (by the way excellent shooters and very friendly persons) they both use Glocks,seeing theme shoot inspired me more to keep on with glock-but now after these incident what can I do.I will apreciate all help available.Thanks,sincerely Ramesh A.Ahir

Thank you for your promt reply,found out I have to call Uruguay,so they can call the local dist. and solve the problem,but still feel dissapointed with Glock,My STI 40.sw has been with me for over 7 years I put it away so I can star production div. but I guess I will go back to standard until I can find a production stock gun that can stand the heat,for me now Glock is a sad story in real life.Thanks,best regards,Ramesh A.Ahir
