Glock vs S&W Shield

If it takes you an hour to load 7 rounds into a magazine, then the gun isn't for you. Luckily, it takes less than 30 seconds to fill up a magazine in my Shield 9 either with or without an Uplula. I went many years before getting that loader and should have bought one a long time ago. The loader really helps with stiff double stack magazines like the neutered 10 rounders we have to use in Kommiefornistan.

So you spend several hours at the range to shoot a few magazine's worth with the Shield? It takes less time to load a flintlock pistol. You definitely need to get rid of that gun.

I handled a G43 at the LGS. I really liked it, but I already have a Shield and of course my pt709. And I'm not a Glock guy, but it felt good in my hand. I thought it had a better trigger than the Shield, go figure.

"I know you had this thread up as a Glock vs Shield and those two are very good firearms in their own respect, however like @ATLDave said we are in the golden age of sub-compacts. The just released Sig 365 looks very good from a size / compacity standpoint. "

Another coming out is the Walther PPQ subcompact that one may consider.

The Shield is an extremely popular off duty weapon among law enforcement, and I imagine there are quite a few out there in back up roles as well. The magazines are stiff but easily loaded without tools in more like a few seconds instead of an hour. A few months back they could be found online for $214 with the rebate. An absolute steal.

I have owned two Shields. Never an issue loading the mags right out of the box. I guess if someone gave me an Uplula or whatever it is I’d keep it, but I can load any mag I have for any of my guns with zero effort.

The new sig p365 might have them all beat, we shall see

But you will have to wait at least a year or more to ensure there are no bugs with the gun. After the P320 fiasco I'll wait on any new Sig. Ended up selling mine with full disclosure.

For me I'll take the Glock 43 and did just that over the Shield.

If you shoot the Walther PPS . . make sure you have your finances in order . . Why? Because you're gonna buy it. It's that good!!
