The difference between Glock's 10mm and .45 slides is the breech face width.
The .45 breech face is wider than the 10mm, so if I put a G29 barrel in a G30 slide, it'll fit with room on the sides of the barrel. But if I put a G30 barrel in a G29, it won't fit.
So with that in mind, 10mm conversion barrels aren't meant for .45 slides. However, you can find several people who've had good reliability doing it. Personally, I'd give it a try, but with caution....I have no idea how much, if any, support is lost by going with a barrel that doesn't have contact on the sides of the breech.... If people have done it wit success, then I'm sure it's not a big deal, but then again, I'm not sure that it couldn't be.
