It is sad you can't ask an honest question about a specific need and get a jerk like this try to... well be a jerk.

Your more interested in granstanding and trying to disrespect posters on the internet and this board than being helpful and answering the questions asked.

We are trying to be helpful. I'm even willing to understand that some folks aren't interested in the 1911 (my personal favorite design). That's why they make more than one gun; I'm not interested in Glocks, myself.

But then, you don't seem to understand how internet forums work. You will often see a thread go slightly off topic, and maybe even well off topic. Since you yourself brought up 1911s and dismissed them with faulty logic (it's one thing to not be interested, but if you don't want one for a reason which many know to be bogus, expect to be corrected, no matter what forum you frequent).

And then you started calling people jerks.

I have never been disrespectful to anyone on this board or tried to start or cause any problems...and I don't appreciate it being directed at me for no reason because this guy is a quote senior member!!

You were hardly flamed, hardly disrespected, but you certainly returned disrespect. I might draw your attention to the name of the board- we take The High Road here. To tell the truth, I expected more 1911 apologists in this thread than you actually got; instead, you got a majority of people trying to point you in a direction you wished to travel in your firearms ownership. But you feel persecuted nonetheless. I don't see where you were disrespected, but I can easily see where you gave it.
