I have always liked glocks for their reliability and simplicity but I see lots of folks are just as loyal to their CZs. I decided to buy one and found a NIB CZ75B in 9mm for $448. Another gunshop closer to me had the same thing for $549 Go Figure. Needless to say I drove the extra miles and got the better deal. I brought it home, drained the oil {lots of oil], put it back together and headed for the range. Was getting late so I only fired 50 rounds but that was enough to really impress me. It was actually more accurate out of the box than my G19 was. I'll keep carrying my G27 cause it's super easy to conceal, but I suspect I'll put lots of rounds through the CZ.

If you only put 50 rds through it, you're really going to be impressed after about 500. The trigger will get much smoother.
You'll find all kinds of threads on the pros and cons of modifying your CZ. I'm a believer in lightening the hammer spring to 15#. That will make a big improvement fast. It's cheap, easy to do and easy to reverse it if you don't like it. I will bet you'll keep the lighter spring if you try it.
It's a great gun for the money.

I qualify Expert or Distinguished Expert every year with a Glock 17

Do they not allow you to qualify W/ what you carry?

I bought my first ( key word ) CZ while looking for an S&W 4006 at a gunshow it was love at first shot.

well over a thousand rounds ( and 3 CZs) later I've had all of one FTE.

If I'm going to spend money on a gun these days it's going to be a Z

I will just add to the love for CZs in this thread. I have a CZ75b and I absolutely love it. It is such a reliable, accurate, easy to shoot pistol. It probably will not be my last CZ either...

I got rid of all my plastic and bought CZ's, didn't know what I have been missing.
Guys, we have to watch out for the praise of these guns, if it keeps up the price will go ballistic.

Old Navy,
Congrats on your new acquisition!:D I have the CZ75B/Glock 27 combination myself and think both are top notch. The 75B is one of the most accurate, easy to shoot handguns that I own. I really like the size and versatility (as in quick caliber changes between 9mm, .40SW and .357SIG) of the G27. I've added .22 Long Rifle top ends to both. The only problem I have with them is that I now wish I had dedicated lowers for the conversions. The CZ75B/Kadet is a super 22 and the Glock conversion makes an excellent, light weight, trail gun.
