Glocks vs. nice guns

I like Glocks, but I also really like other manufacturers too. I also like HK, Beretta, Browning and selected Ruger / S&W....tough poll when you can only chose one

For me, it'd be SIGs, 1911s, and HKs. They work well for me, primarily the 1911 platform. I'm just starting out on learning about the HK pistols, but they're my "darkside."

I'll eventually own another Glock down the road. But I have no urge to get one just yet. I've owned them before, so I understand what they're all about.

I myself am an HK fanatic. I much prefer the P2000 over any Glock. I do like Glock though.

If I had to choose it would be an HK hands down.

The looks department, not so much. The performance department, not so much.

If you need a gun that'll go bang every time no matter what. I'd get a Glock, period.

I'm not a die hard Glock fan but I've learned that theirs guns that are more expensive and cheaper, but Glock beats most of them.
They may perform, but reliability isn't all that out the box.(1911's and such)
They are really affordable but they might need some work. Might
(Ruger's and Taurus, polyframe's)

And if their in the same league, fact is Glock is the originator(Springfield and most polyguns on the market) They've obviously improved. But longevity wont be known for at least another decade.(S.A. XD's S&W M&P's, etc.)
