I wear progressive bifocals. I also wear earmuffs when I shoot. I usually shoot in the woods, but I am considering joining an indoor range that requires wrap around shooting glasses. I need something that will fit over my rx glasses that has thin stems that will fit under my muffs, or some type of goggles. I won't use them enough to justify buying rx shooting glasses.

I have searched the net and have not come up with anything. Now with the number of individuals that wear rx bifocals and muffs, there has to be something out there. Thanks.

Home Depot, Lowes etc

Check out any decent hardware store for some industrial safety glasses or goggles.
You might ask the range if clipon Bullseye shooting blinders are OK. These are plastic side shields that are made to restrict vision out the sides, to keep down distractions. Not really made as a safety item.
I think your range is getting overly concerned on safety. Standard glasses have been fine at any range I shoot at.
If your concerned with the earmuff seal, consider using muffs and plugs.
I do.

I recently ordered a pair like you're thinking about from CDNN for the grand sum of $3.99. Their no limit single charge for shipping is $15, so you'd need to buy other items to justify the shipping cost.

I added a set of Swiss made Howard Leight muffs for $10, which at 29 dbl reduction is about as good as it gets.

Are there any over-prescription-glasses safety glasses you all would recommend that aren't the traditional ginormous, dorky, uncomfortable ones? Especially for smaller people--part of the problem I have with comfort on the traditionals is that they slide down my nose because their sad excuses (read: nonexistent) for nose grips are too wide... (How is it that regular safety glasses keep getting slimmer and more attractive but the ones for going over prescription specs never manage to evolve?)

I don't know of anything specific, but it's a good idea! I had a hot .45 case go behind my glasses once, against my eyelid. That was exciting!

The problem is making a pair of OTGs that will fit over almost any pair of glasses. That requires the manufacturers to use a larger size. Since most people that wear prescription lenses get prescription safety glasses the manufacturers are making a stop-gap product.

If you don't wan to look "dorky" then you'll need to get prescription safety glasses or prescription inserts for safety glasses (what I did). I have a pair of safety glasses with my bifocal prescription and a pair specially made up to focus on the front sight. They work great.

As an alternative, look at Uvex because they'll fit prescription inserts to some of their models for you.

If you don't mind the looks, Bole' makes ballistic goggles that fit over glasses.

The ones I mentioned from CDNN have sliding arms that are adjustable for length. Perhaps they might work for you.

If you check online at some of the safety glasses sites, you can get safety glasses with bifocal lens built in from 8.00 to 22 bucks. (I bought 2 pair, one sunglasses, one clear.) So the safety lens is clear and non-magnifying, then there is a built in magnifying lens like reading glasses. In various magnification of 50, ie 100, 150, 200. For shooting, these work quite well. The magnifying lenses are available in the upper portion of the lens, to accommodate shooting, (instead of in the lower hemisphere, like bifocals.)

I use http://www.safetyglassesusa.com/safreadglas.html

Try the bifocal shooting glasses. They are about $13 and have a small bi-focal section in the bottom. Makes you tilt your head up when aiming, but they work great for me.
Mine came from Sportsman's Guide.

You could also get glasses made for athletes.

I'd avoid goggles, because my indoor range isn't air conditioned, and I gotta take regular safety glasses off every so often.
