I'm pretty excited, right now. I've been in the process of building an AK pistol, for quite sometime. It really shouldn't have taken this long, but I've been going slow (my first AK build), changing my mind about things here an there, exchanging parts, waiting on tools, etc. Well, I just welded in my lower rails today and that was the last major thing I had to do. It's all (knock on wood) pretty smooth sailing from here out. Well, anyway, I decide - to heck with it, forget a pistol, if I'm doing it I'm going all the way. So.... today, before I press my barrel back into the front trunnion, I'm getting my receiver engraved with my trust name, city/state, and a serial number. That way, I can go ahead an form1 this bad mofo after I function test it. I'm gonna go ahead and assemble it as a pistol, put it on the bench to make sure it's worthy of a stamp an a stock, then I'm gonna go ahead an go full Monty with it.

So..... here in a few months (I use "few" loosely) I will have me an AKM with a quad rail handgaurd, a skeletonized stock, and a cute lil 12" barrel AND it will be my own
creation - i started with a flat, not a 100% FFL only receiver.

Edit to add - anybody wanting to get into building their own AK's seriously needs to consider getting all their tools from Curtis at ak-builder dot com. Every tool I've gotten from him has been amazing and simplified whatever task it was intended for. Plus the same (helpful) dude answers the phone every time I call. Absolutely great guy to do business with!

Oh yea, that's a def :) just don't go too hard on me if they're huge or if they're tiny little red X's. I'm not the greatest at it :D

But yea, not only will I post pix for y'all, ill prolly run down the street, waving it around yelling "look what I made, look what I made!" Don't worry, ill post the pix BEFORE that lol.
